Objective To assess the value of ultrasonography in the diagnosis of neonatal adrenal hemorrhage(NAH). Methods The ultrasonographica data of 82 infants clinically diagnosed with NAH were retrospectively reviewed. Results 77 cases were diagnosis using ultrasonography,in 82 cases of NAH,5 cases were misdiagnosed.According to the different period of the hematoma,ultrasonography of the mass showed anechoic,mixed components of fluis and solid,low echo and slightly strong echo,with no color Dopper signal in all of NAH. Progressive reduction in hematoma size was revealed during the sonographic follow-up. Conclusion Ultrasonography has a high clinical value for the diagnosis of NAH,and it is useful in the differential diagnosis that follow-up numerous times with an ultrasonography.
