Uterine fibroids are the most common benign tumor of women of childbearing age. High intensity focused ultrasound as a non-invasive treatment method, has been widely used in the treatment of solid tumors, especially the uterine fibroids. It has been believed that the ultrasound microbubble can increase the energy deposition in the target region by changing the acoustic characteristics and increasing the cavitation effect to increase the coagulation necrosis area that it can be used as a synergistic agent. In this article, we will review the application of ultrasound microbubble in the treatment of uterine fibroids with high intensity focused ultrasound.
