Abstract:ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the effects of 3D color doppler grouping and echo level in the RFA treatment guided by ultrasound of uterine fibroids on ablation time and numbers of needle. Methods The 48 patients with uterine fibroids treated by RFA were divided into hypovascular and hypervascular groups according to 3D color power angiography, and into hyperechoic, hypoechoic and mixed groups according to echo level. Record the ablation time and numbers of needle of each group, and discuss if there is difference in the whole treatment. Results The mean ablation time and numbers of needle of hyperechoic group were significantly lower than those of hypoechoic group, and those of mixed group were between hyperechoic and hypoechoic groups. The differences were statistically significant(p<0.05). At the same echo level, the mean ablation time and numbers of needle of hypovascular group were significantly lower than those of hypervascular group. The differences were statistically significant(p<0.05). Conclusions Compared with hypovascular and hyperechoic uterine fibroids in RFA treatment, the ablation time of hypervascular and hypoechoic uterine fibroids was longer and the numbers of needle were more. This can guide the operator targeted arrange the needles in RFA treatment according to different types of uterine fibroids, and predict ablation time and numbers of needle to avoid insufficient or excessive ablation.
