Abstract:Objective To evaluate values of real time three-dimensional echocardiography(RT-3DE) diagnostic technique in diagnosing double chambered right ventricle (DCRV).Methods Compared with surgical operations,20 cases of children with double chambered right ventricle (DCRV) were diagnosed by two-dimensional and RT-3DE, two methods of diagnosis and surgical results were compared and comparing with the surgical results. Results Short artery 3D axis view and four chamber 3D view can diagnosis DCRV. As surgical operations gold standard, the accuracy of RT-3DE to diagnosis DCRV is 100%,the accuracy of 2DE to diagnosis DCRV is 90%,the accuracy of RT-3DE and 2DE were closely consistent(P>0.05).Conclusions DCRV can be accurately diagnosed through Short artery 3D axis view combined with four-chamber 3D view.RT-3DE with topologic method can give more special information and it is more valuable in the diagnosis of DCRV than that of 2DE,recommended for RT-3DE as a conventional detection methods for the diagnosis of DCRV.
