Abstract:【】Objective To evaluate right ventricular systolic function in patients with pulmonary hypertension(PH) using real-time three-dimensional echocardiography. Methods a total of 60 patients with PH Were enrolled in this study, they were divided into three groups according to pulmonary arterial pressure (PASP) level:mild group and moderate group and severe group, each group consisted of 20 cases, 20 healthy people were enrolled As controls. Firstly, tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion(TAPSE) were measured by M-mode, right ventricular fractional area of change(RVFAC) were measured by 2-DE; Secondly, tissue Doppler-derived tricuspid lateral annular systolic velocity(S’) and calculated right ventricular index of myocardial lperformance(RIMP); In the end, right ventricular end-diastolic volume(RVEDV) and right ventricular end-systolic volume (RVESV) were measured by Real-time Three-dimensional Echocardiography(RT-3DE) and calculated right ventricular stroke volume (RVSV) and right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF). Results There are no differences of RVEDV among every group(P>0.05), the RVESVs were higher while RVSVs and RVEFs were lower with the increase of the degree of pulmonary arterial hypertention, but it has no different between moderate and severe groups(P>0.05); A positive correlation was found between RVEF and RVFAC、s’、and TAPSE(r=0.658, p=0.000; r=0.832, p=0.000; r=0.886, p=0.000, respectively ), there was a negative correlation between RVEF and RIMP(r=-0.759, p=0.000). Conclusions Real-time three-dimensional echocardiography can assess right ventricular systolic function in patients with PH accurately and provide a guidance for clinical evaluation and prognosis judge.
