Two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging can quantificationally evaluate global and regional myocardial function by strain which is measured by dynamic two-dimensional image, and it has a advantage on independent of insonation angle. The aim of this review is to introduce the principle and advances of the quantitative estimate of myocardial function with two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging in children.
