【Abstract】 Objective To explore the diagnostic features of small bowel intussusception with color Doppler ultrasound. Methods From September 2014 to September 2016,we selected 86 cases of small intestinal intussusception treated in our hospital.The patients were divided into operation group (n = 20) and non operation group (n = 66). All cases were confirmed by color Doppler ultrasound, surgery and pathology. The ultrasonic characteristics were summarized. Results In the operation group The average diameter of small bowel intussusception is (3.0±0.4) cm, and the average length of sleeve shaft is (5.8±0.6) cm, and the average thickness of the outer wall of the sleeve is (0.7±0.3) cm. In non operative group The average diameter of small bowel intussusception is (1.7±0.3) cm, and the average length of sleeve shaft is (3.3±0.7) cm, and the average thickness of the outer wall of the sleeve is (0.2±0.1) cm（p<0.001）. In the operation group primary small bowel intussusception is 8 cases (40%),with 7 cases of Meckel''s diverticulum (35%), with 3 cases of allergic purpura (15%), with 1 case of intestinal duplication malformation (5%), with 1 case of intestinal polyp (5%). The non operation group was primary small bowel intussusception. Conclusion In the operation group, the intestinal intussusception was more than that of the female, larger diameter of the sleeve, longer sleeve shaft, with intestinal wall edema and mostly secondary. Understanding these features is helpful to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and assist clinicians in surgical treatment and reduce complications.
