Abstract:【】 Objective Using Real-Time Shear Wave Elastography (SWE)to detect the Young’s modulus of carotid atheromatous plaque, assessment the vulnerability of plaque, analyze its correlation with stroke. Methods We Selected 60 patients with acute cerebral stroke patients, and 91 patients without history of stroke as control group, using SWE to detect the Young’s modulus of carotid atheromatous plaque, judge the difference on the plaque stiffness between the stroke group and control group. Results The Young’s modulus including Emean and Emin of carotid atherosclerotic plaque in stroke group were lower than those in control group. Conclusion Using SWE to detect carotid plaques stiffness, the Emean and Emin of Young’s modulus is close relation with cerebral stroke, or can be used as a parameters for predicting the risk of stroke.
