There are a variety of congenital skeletal system deformities, with a wide range of overlap symptoms, and short limb deformity as the main performance, which bring a serious impact on the function of fetus,or even directly lead to neonatal death. Prenatal ultrasound is the first choice to find fetal deformity. We should pay attention to avoid the missed diagnosis. This article reviews the role and progression of prenatal ultrasound in the diagnosis of skeletal system abnormalities.
