Abstract:【】Objective To investigate the value of ultrasound manifestations of giant cell tumor of tendon sheath for improving the preoperative diagnosis rate . Methods The clinical and preoperative ultrasonographic data of 62 cases with giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath proved by operation and pathology in our hospital from January 2014 to December 2016 were analyzed retrospectively. Results 45 cases of giant cell tumor of tendon were diagnosised before operation by ultrasonography. The diagnostic rate was 72.5%.The ultrasonic manifestation of giant cell tumor of tendon were that all the 62 cases were located near the tendon and joint, and all of them were inhomogeneous, low echo, 58 cases were clear boundary, and 20 cases were wrapped around tendon. The deformation of the tumor was not obvious after compression. 54 cases of the tumors had abundant blood flow signal in color doppler flow imaging. Conclusion Ultrasonography is valuable in diagnosis of giant cell tumor of tendon, and can be used as the preferred diagnostic method.
