Abstract:Thyroid carcinoma (TC) is the most common endocrine malignancy. In recent decades, TC has a sustainedhigh incidence. Therefore, it is important to make an early detection and diagnosis for TC. In clinic, ultrasound is the preferred imaging method for thyroid cancer detection, and CEUS as one of the new techniques of ultrasound has the abilityto enhance the displayment of TC microvessels. The new ultrasound contrast agent SonoVue significantly improved the detection of TC in microcirculation perfusion by CEUS. CEUS analysis consists of two aspects, qualitative and quantitative. CEUS quantitative analysis was used to quantify the perfusion of TC microcirculation by quantitative parameters of contrast-enhanced ultrasound. In recent years, more and more clinicalresearches have focused on CEUS qualitative and quantitative study on TC and made a lot of achievements. Although CEUS has showna higher application valuein the diagnosis of TC,it also has some limitations.
