Abstract:Objective Summarizing ultrasonographic characteristics of piriform sinus fistula merging infections in children, to improve the understanding of piriform sinus fistula merging infections, provide the basis for preoperative diagnosis. Methods The characteristics of the ultrasound image in 10 cases of children with piriform sinus fistula merging infection confirmed surgically and pathologically were retrospectively Results 2 cases of left neck recurrent infection, 7 cases of recurrent left neck abscess and drag in the upper pole of the left lobe of the thyroid gland, 1 case was the right neck abscess involving the upper pole of the right lobe of the thyroid gland. Conclusion Piriform sinus fistula merging infections in children of sonographic findings have certain characteristics, ultrasound can be used as the first choice for examination.
