Abstract:Objective To study the application value of transesophageal echocardiographic (TEE) in percutaneous device closure of atrial septal defect. Methods Form September 2014 to September 2016, 32 patients of ASD were examined by transthoracic echocardiography in our hospital before operation, in the operation they were examined by transesophageal echocardiographic again and the device was implanted through the femoral vascular access. Reviewed 3 days,1、3 and 6 months after operation. Results In 32 cases, 2 cases were convertsd to open surgery after the second diagnosed by TTE . The other 30 cases were successful completed by operation. Reviewed 3 days,1、3 and 6 months after operation, the devices’ positions were optimal an no sever complication happened. Conclusions Percutaneous transcatheter clsure of atrial septal defect guided by TEE is safe and minimally invasive, the TEE has important application value and reliable effect in diagnosis before operation、guide in operation and review after operation.
