Abstract:objective To investigate the clinic imaging features of the contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)in the diagnosis of gallbladder carcinoma , so as to discuss about the clinic practicability of contrast-enhanced ultrasound guideline of gallbladder carcinoma in 2012. Methods Based on Contrast-enhanced ultrasound guideline of gallbladder carcinoma in 2012, the characteristics of CEUS were reviewed in 70 patients with gallbladder carcinoma proven pathologically. Results The types of gallbladder carcinomas were depicted as mass type(26/70),nodule type(39/70), think wall type(3/70)and Mixed type(2/70). In the enhancement pattern, two lesions showed hypo-enhancement (2/70) ,while most of patients with other lesions showed iso-enhancement(3/70) or hyper-enhancement(65/70)during initial period and hypo-enhancement during late period. The time to initial enhancement of the livers was (18.2±2.7)s. The time to initial enhancement of the lesions was (14.5±2.7)s. The time to peak enhancement was (22.8±4.0)s. The time to hypo-enhancement was (33.4±4.5)s. The vascular structures in gallbladder carcinoma were shown “homogeneous dotted” type(6/70), “central vessel” type(2/70), “branched vessel” type(10/70) and “irregular vessel ”type(52/70). Conclusions The enhancement pattern of CEUS in gallbladder carcinomas has its characteristics, and our practice is consistent with the guideline. But in many respects, such as type of classification, quantitative of the enhancement time and vascular structures, the guideline needs further elaboration.
