Abstract:Objective To study the evaluation value of real-time shear wave elastography(SWE) on acupuncture on ahshi-point in neck-shoulder myofascial pain syndrome(MPS) patients. Methods 30 patients with neck-shoulder MPS were received acupuncture on ahshi-point. the pain visual analogue scale(VAS) and the SWE was used to measured the values of Yang’s modulus and tissue elasticity of myofascial trigger points(MTrPs) before and after treatment. Results The significant positive correlations between the VAS score and the values of Young''s modulus and elasticity score in MTrPs (r=0.572, P<0.001; r=0.474, P=0.008) were showed before acupuncture treatment. The VAS score was reduced after the treatment (t=10.02, P<0.001), also the MTrPs of ultrasound elasticity imaging score (t = 6.34, P < 0.001) and Young''s modulus value (t = 33.36, P < 0.001) were significantly reduced. The significant positive correlations between ?VAS and ?Yang''s , ?elasticity score were showed (r=0.611, P<0.001;r = 0.561, P = 0.001). Conclusion The real-time SWE can objectively and effectively evaluate the effect of ahshi-point acupuncture in neck-shoulder MPS patients.
