Abstract:Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for prostate cancer (PCa) with meta-analysis. Methods Clinical researches on the diagnosis of PCa by CEUS was collected from CNKI, VIP Database, Wanfang Database, PubMed and Cochrane Library. The aggregated receiver operating curve (sROC) was used to analyze the overall diagnostic efficacy, and subgroup analysis was used to analyze the effect of the age, PSA level, sample size, and reports quality on diagnostic performance. Resluts The overall sensitivity of CEUS in the diagnosis of PCa was 0.78 (95% CI: 0.74 ~ 0.82); specificity was 0.78 (95% CI: 0.72 ~ 0.83), and the area under the sROC curve was 0.85 (95% CI: 0.81~0.87). Subgroup analysis showed that the <70-year-old population and large sample size studies were more sensitive, with PSA≥10 ng/ml and high-quality literature with higher sensitivity and specificity. Conclusion CEUS had a high advantage in the diagnosis of PCa, but it is still necessary to develop uniform operating practices and guidelines to improve the diagnostic value.
