Abstract:Abstract Objective To investigate high-frequency ultrasonic images of nodular fasciitis and the reasons of ultrasonic misdiagnosis were analyzed. Methods The preoperative sonographic features of twenty-five patients confirmed as nodular fasciitis by operation and pathology were reviewed and analyzed ,and the clinical symptoms and the features of nodular fasciitis were?summarized by high frequency ultrasound. Results High-frequency ultrasonic images of 25 cases nodular fasciitis showed single occurred round, oval and fusiform shape characteristically, part of which had shallow lobes, clear boundary and better activity, without significant envelope or adhesion with surrounding tissues; 21 lesions showed hypoechoic echoes, partly had internal hypoechoic echoes, 3 had moderate echoes, and 1 had hyperechoic echo; posterior echoes were enhanced in 19 lesions. CDFI: 19 lesions did not have significant blood flow signal in or around it, 4 lesions had punctate blood flow signals in or around it, 2 lesions showed pretty abundant blood flow signals, which were low-speed and high resistance type, and whose volume were large relatively. Among 25 lesions, 14 lesions occurred in the subcutaneous fat layer, 8 cases involved the subcutaneous fascia and 3 involved the muscle. Ultrasound diagnosis showed 15 cases were subcutaneous abnormal echoes, 10 cases were ultrasonic misdiagnosis, including 5 cases of lipoma, 2 cases of hemangiomas, 1 case of neurogenic tumors, 1 case of hematoma, and 1 case of soft tissue tumors. Conclusion high-frequency ultrasonic images of nodular fasciitis has a certain sonographic. The high frequency ultrasound has great diagnostic value for nodular fasciitis.
