Abstract:extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a cardiopulmonary support technique,through the blood that flows out of the right atrium is oxygenated outside the body and then reinfused into the body.The application of ECMO has shown its advantages in the treatment of more and more severe cardiopulmonary patients in the short and medium term. Ultrasound provides the monitoring needs during the period of ECMO support with its advantages of accuracy and convenience. This article introduces the current application of ultrasound in the treatment of VA and VV ECMO through the monitoring of intubation, cardiac function and complications during the application of ultrasound in ECMO.
