Abstract:Following tablets, CT became the first choice for diagnosing pediatric lung disease, but the harm of radiation to children was related to its lethal carcinogenicity. Ultrasound is not often used in clinic due to lung shadow and rib shadow limitations, but in recent years ultrasound technology has been continuously improved. Lung ultrasound has played an important role in the early diagnosis of lung diseases, the assessment of the condition, and the monitoring of prognosis. This article reviews the clinical application of pulmonary ultrasound in infants and young children with various pulmonary diseases.
