Abstract:Objective To compare the changes of Young’S modulus of transitional and peripheral zone of prostate in benign prostatic hyperplasia patients after medicine treatment. Methods A 175 benign prostatic hyperplasia patients who underwent transrectal shear wave elastography were selected in Changxing Hospital of Zhejiang Medical and Health Group from July 2017 to January 2019.Young"s modulus of transitional zone and peripheral zone of prostate was measure by real-time shear wave elastography before and after medicine treatment. Young’S modulus of transitional zone and peripheral zone of prostate were compared and their correlation with IPSS、QOL、PV、PVR、Qmax were evaluated. Results The mean Young"s modulus of prostate transitional zone and peripheral zone were from (59.20±6.03)、(25.04±2.89) kPa to (39.66±6.03)、(14.46±3.01) kPa after medicine treatment. Young"s modulus of prostate transitional and peripheral zone decreased gradually with the decrease of IPSS, QOL, PV,PVR and increase of Qmax but Young’S modulus of transitional Zone changed more significantly.Young"s modulus of transitional zone showed a significant correlation with IPSS, QOL,Qmax, PV,PVR(r values were 0.74、0.82、-0.75、0.51、0.77,P<0.05),and Young"s modulus of prostate peripheral zone showed a weak correlation with#$NLIPSS, QOL,Qmax, PV,PVR(r values were 0.57、0.73、-0.62、0.42、0.53,P<0.05).
