Objective To explore the mental health status of ultrasound residents during standardized training in Shaanxi province, and to offer theoretical foundations for psychotherapeutic interventions. Methods The ultrasound residents standardized trainees from the first year to the third grade in Shaanxi Province were investigated by the symptom checklist 90, demographic characteristics and work condition. Results The detection rate of psychological problem among ultrasound residents was 23%. The survey showed that the main psychological health problems of ultrasound residents were obsession, depression and interpersonal sensitivity. Conclusions The psychological problems of Ultrasound residents were prominent. The related training departments should pay high attention and seek efficient measures to improve their mental health.
