Objective: This study aimed to compare the diagnostic value of elastography, elastography combined with "stiff rim sign" and elastography histogram analysis. METHODS: A total of 59 breast lumps from the general surgery department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of the Army Military Medical University from January 2017 to January 2019 were selected to form this study group. Started the elastography function to collect the data, then adjusted the threshold on the elastography map to display the stiff rim sign, then started the histogram analysis. Results: The diagnostic performance of the histogram analysis (AUC = 0.93) was superior to the elastic imaging combined with "stiff rim sign" (AUC = 0.87) and elastography (AUC = 0.81). Conclusion: Ultrasound elastography histogram analysis method is helpful for the classification of benign and malignant breast lesions. The "stiff rim sign" can also improve the accuracy of elastography and help to improve the ability of physicians to identify benign and malignant breast masses.
