This article reported that a 53-year-old female patient with unexplained pleural effusion was diagnosed as "cardiac amyloidosis (CA)" by echocardiography. The gold standard for diagnosis of CA is cardiac biopsy, but it is difficult in practice. In order to improve the diagnostic accuracy of the disease, this paper expounds the specific manifestations of echocardiography in combination with other examination methods.
