Abstract:Objective To explore the significance of correcting beast masses" BI-RADS classification by ultrasound elastography(UE) combined with super microvascular imaging(SMI). Methods Retrospecting the 86 BI-RADS 3-5 grade beast masses classified by conventional ultrasonography, all the lesions were examined with UE and SMI, and these beast masses" BI-RADS grades were corrected by UE combined with SMI. Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC)curve was created according to the pathological result, the diagnostic effect of UE combined with SMI was evaluated by comparing the BI-RADS classification" sensitivity, specificity, accuracy and the area under curve(AUC) before and after the correction. Results BI-RADS 4B grade was stipulated as the diagnostic cut-off point, after being corrected by UE combined with SMI,the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 95.65%, 90.00%, and 93.02% respectively, all higher than those before the correction(80.43%、67.50%、74.42%), the differences have statistic significance(P<0.05);The comparison of areas under ROC curve: The AUC after the correction by UE combined with SMI (0.95)is larger than that before the correction (0.85)(Z=4.91, P<0.01).Conclusion The combination of UE and SMI can improve the diagnostic effection evidently, and has high application value.
