Abstract:ABSTRACT Objective To explore the ultrasonic typing of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN), aiming to improve the accuracy of ultrasound diagnosis. Methods The clinical and ultrasound examination data of 29 cases of IPMN confirmed by pathology were collected, and the ultrasonic feature as well as the diagnostic information was analyzed retrospectively. Results IPMN can be divided into single-room cystic type(10.3%,3/29), multi-room cyst type(44.8%,13/29),solid type(17.2%,5/29)and main pancreas dilation type(27.6%,8/29)by ultrasound. In all cases, the pancreatic ducts were dilated, and the lesion linked the main pancreatic duct. Most lesions were lack of blood supply. The diagnostic accuracy of preoperative ultrasound examination for multi-room cystic type was 84.6%. Conclusions Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms can be divided into single-room cystic type, multi-room cystic type, solid type, and main pancreatic duct type. The accuracy of preoperative ultrasound diagnosis of multi-room cystic IPMN was the highest among them.
