Abstract:Abstract Objective: To explore the clinical value of sequential ultrasound examination for critically ill patients with Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Methods: From January 1, 2020 to April 15, 2020, 232 pneumonia patients positive for 2019-nCoV nucleic acid test in Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital were screened. We analyzed each ultrasound examination items and results, retrospectively. Results: Ultrasound examination items of severe patients with COVID-19 include bedside echocardiography (181 cases), thoracic ultrasound (131 cases), hepatobiliary pancreas spleen ultrasound (134 cases), kidneys, ureter ultrasound (125 cases), lower extremity arteries, deep vein ultrasound (75 cases), abdominal large vessel ultrasound (51 cases), cervical vascular ultrasound (14 cases), uterus and its accessories ultrasound (4 cases), submandibular gland ultrasound (2 cases) , Bladder, prostate ultrasound (2 cases), thyroid ultrasound (24cases),adrenal ultrasound(22cases), testicles and epididymal ultrasound (1 case). The positive rates were: 92%, 100%, 87%, 68%, 81%, 61%, 43%, 75%, 50%, 50%, 75%, 9%, 100%, respectively. Conclusion: Sequential ultrasound plays an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of critically ill patients with COVID-19. Throughout the entire diagnosis and treatment of critically ill patients, clinical-sequential ultrasound will use COVID-19 as an opportunity to open a new chapter in ultrasound medicine.
