Pulmonary fibrosis is?a?class?of the interstitial lung diseases，which can be divided into idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis（IPF） and secondary pulmonary fibrosis.The condition of a small number of patients can be stable for a long time，most of them progress slowly，some progress quickly.There are some drugs that can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and prolong the survival time of such patients.Therefore，earlier diagnosis and timely intervention are vital to improve the prognosis of patients.With the development of ultrasonography，the applications of ultrasound in the diagnosis，evaluation of effectiveness and the monitoring of pulmonary diseases.This paper reviews the application and progress of ultrasound in diagnosis and follow-up of of pulmonary fibrosis.
