Abstract:Objective: To discriminative and evaluation of specific preoperative contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) in clinical staging of bladder cancer. Methods: We selected 97 patients with bladder cancer who were admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to May 2020, reviewed and analyzed their medical records .97 patients underwent CEUS and EUS examination before operation. The results of pathological staging were used as gold standard to compare the coincidence rate of CEUS and EUS in the staging diagnosis of 97 subjects, and to compare the diagnostic value of the two methods for bladder cancer staging. Results: Among 97 patients with pathological stage, the number of cases in T1、T2、T3、T4 stage was 27,23,30 and 17 respectively. The coincidence rate of CEUS in the fourth stage diagnosis was 77.78%,86.96%,56.67%,88.24%, and the EUS diagnostic coincidence rate was 74.07%,65.22%,36.67%,35.29%, respectively, comparison of diagnostic coincidence rates between the two methods in T1、T2、T3 three stages showed no significant difference (P>0.05). The diagnostic coincidence rate of CEUS in T4 period is obviously higher than that of EUS (P<0.05). The CEUS diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, positive/negative predictive values were 87.50%,82.35%,58.33%,95.89%, respectively, EUS the four diagnostic indexes were 67.50%,64.71%,29.73%,90.00% (P<0.05), the AUC of CEUS diagnosis of T4 stage bladder cancer was 0.849 and the AUC of EUS was 0.661 in the curve(both P<0.05), the sensitivity, specificity, positive negative predictive value, and AUC of patients with stage T4 bladder cancer were higher than those of EUS. Conclusion: Preoperative CEUS and EUS examination can be used in the diagnosis of bladder cancer staging, but the diagnostic value of CEUS in patients with T4 stage is higher than that of EUS examination.
