Abstract:[Abstract]: Objective To explore the ultrasound characteristics and outcome of fetal biliary atresia. Methods Retrospective analysis of the prenatal and postnatal ultrasound characteristics of 7 cases of fetal biliary atresia examined in the ultrasound department of our hospital from January 2015 to April 2020, as well as postoperative intraoperative angiography and postoperative outcomes. Results 4 cases of prenaal ultrasound showed cystic masses in the hilum of the liver, with regular morphology and good sound transmission. The size of the masses did not change significantly with the increase of gestational age, or slightly reduced, Gallbladder size does not change significantly with gestational age. After birth, the ultrasound showed that the gallbladder was small, stiff, without obvious contraction after meals, and fibrous plaques at the hilum of the liver. 3 cases of prenatal gallbladder were never shown, postnatal gallbladder was not shown, and fibrous plaque at the hilum of the liver. Outcome: 2 cases of maternal liver transplantation were successful, 1 case of Kasai surgery was successful, 1case had marked liver cirrhosis and is currently waiting for liver transplant, 3 patients gave up treatment. Conclusion Prenatal ultrasound showed that the gallbladder has not been shown. The size of the cystic mass in the hilum of the whole pregnancy has not changed significantly, or the prenatal biliary atresia should be considered when the third trimester is smaller than the second trimester. Diagnosis of biliary atresia in time before childbirth, and early postpartum surgical treatment is very important for the prognosis of children.
