Abstract:At present, the incidence of cardiovascular diseases is increasing year by year, and the outcome is heart failure and death eventually. Therefore, the early diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of cardiovascular diseases are ultimately important.Vector flow mapping (VFM) is a novel technology based on the recent development of color Doppler blood flow imaging. It allows observation of the intracardiac blood fluid without a contrast medium and accurate assessment of cardiac function. The present research will review the new advances in assessment of cardiac function by vector flow mapping.
