Application progress of two-dimensional speckle tracking technology in the evaluation of the right ventricular function in patients with diabetic cardiomyopathy
diabetic cardiomyopathy (DC) is an important cause of heart failure and increased mortality in diabetes mellitus (DM) patients. Abnormal right ventricular function is a predictor of mortality in various types of heart failure. Accurate assessment of right ventricular function is of great value for the treatment and prognosis of DC patients. Two-dimensional speckle tracking (2D-STI) is a new technique that can be used for the early assessment of right ventricular function. This article reviews the application of 2D-STI in the assessment of right ventricular function in DC patients
