Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of PDCA cycle in improving the quality of carotid ultrasound screening in high-risk population of stroke. Method According to PDCA cycle, 50 carotid ultrasound images and reports in the ultrasound picture archiving and communication systems from July 2020 to April 2021 were randomly selected and scored according to the quality scoring standard; The goal of this time is to report more than 95% of class a images,Propose solutions to the problems existing in the image report.Formulate countermeasures from May to June 2021.From July 2021 to April 2022, 50 carotid ultrasound images and reports after the implementation of various improvement measures were selected for scoring,Compare the differences of ultrasound image report score and clinical satisfaction between 2021 and 2020.Analyze the changes of carotid ultrasound image report and clinical satisfaction score before and after PDCA cycle,Through training and learning, discussion in the Department and collection of clinical feedback, the carotid ultrasound examination process is continuously optimized. Result Before implementing the PDCA process of standardized medical quality management,The report of class a image of carotid ultrasound accounted for 58% (29 / 50), and the class a image reached 82% (39 / 50) after implementation; The score of ultrasound image report increased from (87.46 ± 5.87) to (92.74 ± 3.57);Clinical satisfaction increased from (84.46 ± 6.48) to (93.06 ± 3.96) before implementation,The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion PDCA cycle can effectively improve the image quality, report score and clinical satisfaction of carotid ultrasound screening. It can be applied to other single disease germplasm control in ultrasound department, so as to improve the medical quality of ultrasound department.
