Abstract:Objective To analyse the accuracy of the left atrial appendage(LAA) 3D printing model based on the transesophageal echocardiography. Methods 3D-transesophageal echocardiography(3D-TEE) and contrast-enhanced cardiac CT were both performed on 20 patients. The 3D-TEE data of LAA were post-processed, and printed with soft rubber-like materials. The long axis and short axis of LAA ostium, and depth of LAA were measured and anatomical classification was evaluated.3D-TEE and CT were compared with the results of 3D printing model. Results Compared with the long axis, short axis and depth of LAA ostium measured in 3D-TEE group, the measurement in 3D printing model group had no significant difference(both P>0.05)(ICC:0.97,0.98,0.98), while CT group had larger measurement(both P<0.05)(ICC:0.91,0.88,0.90).3D printing model group and CT group had no significant difference in evaluating the shape and lobulation of LAA(both P>0.05),and the kappa values were 0.86,0.91(both P<0.05).Also 3D-TEE group and CT group had no significant difference in evaluating the shape and lobulation of LAA(both P>0.05),while the kappa values were 0.71,0.81(both P<0.05). Conclusion The measurment of LAA 3D printing model based on 3D-TEE can accurately restore its data.Compared with 3D-TEE, 3D printing model is more consistent with CT reconstruction while evaluation the morphology.
