Abstract:Objective To analyze the ultrasound findings of liver damage in patients of Wilson’s disease at different ages, In order to find out the law of liver damage and the corresponding ultrasound characteristics of this disease, so as to provide a basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment..Methods A total of 247 WD patients who underwent abdominal ultrasound examination in the Department of Ultrasound Medicine, West China Fourth Hospital,Sichuan University from September 2018 to August 2022 were collected. The patients were divided into three groups according to age: minor group (≤17 years old), youth group (18-44 years old), middle-old-aged group (≥45 years old).According to the ultrasound images, the patients were divided into four groups: group A fatty liver images, group B liver fibrosis or early liver cirrhosis images, group C advanced liver cirrhosis (with or without portal hypertension), and group D normal liver images. Two doctors were arranged to do the image classification. Results? 1.The classification consistency between the two doctors was strong.2.247 WD patients were mainly minors and youth(227, 91.90%).3.Liver damage was mainly composed of liver damage in group B (108,43.72%) and group C (102,41.30%).4.There were statistically significant differences in the distribution of liver damage among the three groups: the minor group, the youth group and the middle-old-aged group(P<0.05). The liver damage in the youth group and the middle-old-aged group was mainly in group B and? group C, the proportion of the two groups was close, and the liver damage in group C was significantly higher than that in the minor group.? The liver damage in the minor group was mainly in group A and group B, and the liver damage in group A was significantly higher than that in the youth group and the middle-old-aged group. Conclusion The ultrasonic images of liver damage in WD patients of different ages have certain characteristics, and the degree of liver damage increases gradually with the increase of age.
