Abstract:Objective: To analyze the correlation between quantitative parameters of contrast-enhanced ultrasound and serum microRNA-223 (miR-223), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and inflammatory activity of Crohn"s disease(CD). Methods: 95 patients with CD who were diagnosed and treated in our hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were divided into inflammatory active group (67 cases) and non-inflammatory active group (28 cases) according to whether they were in the inflammatory active phase. The quantitative parameters of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) such as peak time (TTP), rise time (RT), peak intensity (PI) and serum miR-223 and IL-6 levels were compared between the two groups, and the quantitative parameters of CEUS such as TTP, RT, PI and serum miR-223 were analyzed The predictive value of IL-6 in inflammatory activity of Crohn"s disease. Results: TTP, RT and non-inflammatory active group were significantly shorter than non-inflammatory active group (P<0.05), PI, miR-223, IL-6 and non-inflammatory active group were significantly higher than non-inflammatory active group (P<0.05). The analysis of subjects" working characteristics (ROC) curve showed that TTP, RT, PI, miR-223, IL-6, and the area under the curve (AUC) of combined prediction of inflammatory activity of CD were 0.735, 0.703, 0.796, 0.858, 0.805, and 0.992, respectively, and the Yoden index was 0.500, 0.434, 0.485, 0.624, 0.507, and 0.934, respectively. The sensitivity and specificity corresponding to the optimal critical value were: TTP was 100.0%, 50.0%, RT was 97.0%, 46.4%, and PI was 80.6%, 67.9%, respectively, MiR-223 was 73.1% and 89.3%, IL-6 was 50.7% and 100.0%, and the combined rate was 97.0% and 96.4%. Conclusion: The quantitative parameters of contrast-enhanced ultrasound and serum miR-223 and IL-6 have high predictive value for the inflammatory activity of CD.
