Abstract:Peripheral neuropathy, including focal mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and generalized neuromuscular disorders, is a common clinical disease at present, which seriously impacts patients" quality of life. Ultrasound is the preferred imaging method for the examination of important peripheral nerves, and it can form a good complement with nerve electrophysiological examination. With the innovation and development of ultrasound technology, a series of new technologies that can provide incremental information for neurological examination have emerged. The application progress of new ultrasound technologies in peripheral neuropathy were reviewed in this article.
