Abstract:Objective To evaluate the consistency of left atrium global longitudinal strain and strain rate measured by TomTec left atrium and left ventricular speckle tracking software. Methods The clinical data and echocardiography images of 64 Subjects were collected . Two standardized trained physicians used 2D - STE left atrium and left ventricular software to obtain left atrium global longitudinal strain during contraction phase ( Sct ) , strain during conduit phase ( Scd ) , strain during reservoir phase( Sr = Sct + Scd ) , strain rate during contraction phase ( SRct ) , strain rate during conduit phase ( SRcd ) , strain rate during reservoir phase( SRr ) , respectively. To evaluate the consistency of left atrial strain and strain rate measured by softwares among interobserver and intraobserver. Result (1)There are differences in intra- and interobserver measuring the strain and strain rate with 2 different softwares, but only the SRcd measured by the left ventricular software had statistical intraobserver significance(P=0.01).(2)Bland-Altman conformance test indicated that the two kinds of software had good consistency. Compared with the left ventricular software, the data measured by the left atrial software had a smaller bias and a narrower consistency interval. (3)The reliability analysis showed that the left atrial software measurements had better consistency than the left ventricular software. Conclusion Compared with the left ventricular software, the two dimensional speckle tracing echocardiography of the dedicated atrial software has less bias, stable range of consistency, and excellent reliability of retest, so it is worth popularizing and applying in the analysis of left atrial function.
