[Abstract] Objective To analyze the ultrasonic appearances of extraskeletal ewing's sarcoma. Methods Ultrasonic features of 8 cases of extraskeletal ewing's sarcoma confirmed by pathology were retrospectively analyzed. Results The age of 8 patients ranged from 5 to 53 years old, the average age was 22 years old,The ratio of men to women is 3 to 5. All the 8 patients showed a single mass,4 of the tumors located at retroperitoneum,3 located at soft tissues of limbs and the other one at soft tissues of trunk. On the grayscale ultrasound images,2 cases presented regular shape and 6 cases presented irregular shape. The margin of the tumors was circumscribed in 6 cases and indistincted in other 2 cases. All the 8 cases were heterogenous,6 cases were hypoechoic and 2 cases were mixed echogenicity. No obvious calcification was found in 7 cases and most calcification was found in 1 case. In CDFI,5 tumors presented linear blood flow signals,2 tumors presented dotted blood flow signals and the rest 1 had no obvious blood flow signal.Recurrence and metastasis occurred within 1 year of the one located at retroperitoneum. Conclusion Extraskeletal ewing's sarcoma have certain ultrasonic characteristics, but the preoperative diagnosis via imaging techniques is diffcult, which is mainly confirmed by postoperative pathology and immunohistochemical analysis.
