Abstract:Neuromodulation technology has provided new ideas for the treatment of diseases caused by dysfunction of neural circuits. As a new technology, transcranial low-intensity focused ultrasound has a better penetration ability compared with transcranial magnetic stimulation and transcranial electrical stimulation. And it can focus on the millimeter scale region to achieve more precise neuromodulation. This paper reviews the development of transcranial low intensity focused ultrasound, introduces the application of transcranial low intensity focused ultrasound in the treatment of essential tremor, Alzheimer's disease , Parkinson's disease and depressive disorder, and reviews the research progress of transcranial low intensity focused ultrasound in recent years.
